NATO chief denies Gaddafi government death claims

NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen has dismissed Gaddafi government claims that the alliance’s air strikes campaign has killed more than 1,100 people in the North African nation.
Anders Fogh Rasmussen says NATO has “no confirmed information” about possible civilian casualties as a result of its bombing.
Yesterday, Libya’s prosecutor general accused NATO of killing 1,108 people and wounding another 4,500 and filed charges against the alliance’s chief in Libyan court.
Fogh Rasmussen spoke to reporters today after meeting with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte to appeal for more support for the NATO campaign in Libya.
The Dutch government has sent F-16 fighter jets, but will not allow them to conduct air strikes.
